Kids' Parties. Some of the most happy and exhausting moments in life!

Growing up with Friends. Birthday parties are fun, fun, fun! Starting with pleasant anticipation, fabricating invitations and passing them on to the chosen ones. Planning activities, from party games to a visit to a movie theater or an amusement park, up to final excitement on the very day of the festivity. And then here they come, friends arrive and so does the long-awaited cake (or cupcake) with candles, more of them every year.

Smoke on the Party. One year a quick cake in the rain was followed by a visit to the Prater amusement park. Then again we went to a bowling alley. One year, we not only intoned "Happy Birthday to You" but also "Smoke on the Water", going along with typical rock concert gesture. Next time we invited neighbours over to celebrate with our youngest. It is so much more fun to celebrate birthdays, when the number of candles on the birthday cake is still "manageable".

Familiar Faces. Birthday pictures also bring back memories of dear neighbours from a place we moved away from and class mates from primary school, whom we haven't seen for years. The shape of the cake alone can be very innovative. So far we have had everything from clown face and barnyard to chocolate cat. Not to forget grandma's famous teddy bear biscuit- and butter cream cakes.

Lively Motifs. Kids are usually very creative in avoiding boring group pictures. One usually comes up with something unusual, or even all of them...
